Hitachi Cooling & Heating is the air conditioning and heat pump brand that Hitachi, Ltd. licenses; according to its own website the products are made and sold by the Bosch Home Comfort Group, which took over the former Johnson Controls-Hitachi business. The air-to-water range covers the R290 airH2O 800 (monobloc with control box, or with an indoor module, optionally with built-in hot water tank), the R32 airH2O 600 S split system and the Yutaki line (Yutaki M, Yutaki H, Yutaki S and the high-temperature Yutaki S80).

Hitachi Air-to-water monoblock
The whole refrigerant circuit sits in one outdoor unit; only water pipes run into the house. The most common choice for retrofits, because no refrigerant lines need to be installed inside.

Hitachi Air-to-water split
An outdoor unit plus an indoor hydraulic station, joined by refrigerant lines. The pipework inside the house stays frost-free without glycol, and the indoor part is often quieter to place.
