Ariston is the main brand of the Italian Ariston Group, which sells in Poland through Ariston Polska Sp. z o.o. Its air-to-water range is the Nimbus NET R32 family - monoblock (M) and split (S) outdoor units combined with a Pocket, Plus, Compact or Flex indoor unit - and the newer Nimbus 5 R290 monoblocks. For domestic hot water it offers the Nuos heat pump water heaters, currently the R290 models Nuos Plus S2 Wi-Fi, Nuos Plus S2 Wi-Fi FS and Nuos Fit S2 Wi-Fi FS. In Germany the group sells heat pumps under its ELCO brand rather than as Ariston.

The whole refrigerant circuit sits in one outdoor unit; only water pipes run into the house. The most common choice for retrofits, because no refrigerant lines need to be installed inside.

Ariston Air-to-water split

An outdoor unit plus an indoor hydraulic station, joined by refrigerant lines. The pipework inside the house stays frost-free without glycol, and the indoor part is often quieter to place.

A small heat pump built onto a hot water tank. It heats drinking water only and is a good way to turn surplus solar into stored heat – or to add hot water to a house that is otherwise heated differently.
