Kia EV6 GT

Range test

Kia EV6

GT

The Kia EV6 GT covered 400 km at 90 km/h in a summer test at 21 °C, using more energy than the Tesla Model Y Performance. It was quiet despite the low-profile tyres, but it coasted poorly. After the drive the battery overheated at just 22 °C outside, and fast charging fell to about 30 kW until the cabin AC was switched off so the battery cooling could work harder. Up to 370 kW of power was measured, and the conclusion is that this Kia trades efficiency for speed.
