Tesla Model S
Plaid
At around 5 °C on wet roads, the Tesla Model S Plaid covered 542 km at 90 km/h, one of the longest ranges in the winter tests. It had 92.1 kWh usable, and the less powerful EQS AMG 53 used almost as much energy at 90 km/h as the Plaid at 120 km/h, a gap credited to Tesla's heat management. The sound system earned 9 out of 10, but the yoke, the unreliable auto wipers and the camera-only Autopilot, which slowed down in low sun and braked for no reason, drew criticism. Verdict: when it comes to winter range, Tesla is the clear leader.
