Kia Niro EV
64.8 kWh (2022)
The new Kia Niro EV covered 416 km at 90 km/h in a test at a cool 12 °C, using clearly less energy than the Nissan Ariya. Usable energy measured 64.3 kWh, in line with earlier versions, and the drivetrain proved very efficient. However, the cabin felt as noisy as in the old e-Niro, almost louder than a Model 3, and the standard sound system scored only 4 to 5 out of 10, partly due to a rattling door. The main criticism was charging, which peaked at only about 80 kW and fell to 44 kW, which feels outdated.
