Hyundai Ioniq Electric 38 kWh

Range test

Hyundai Ioniq Electric

38 kWh

The Hyundai Ioniq Electric 38 kWh used just 138 Wh/km at 90 km/h at around 3 °C on wet roads, the lowest consumption in the winter tests. That was enough for 270 km, and the heat pump drew only 500 to 600 W. The new Ioniq has a liquid-cooled instead of an air-cooled battery, a little more boot space and a better lane-centring assistant, yet weighs only about 80 kg more. The Renault Zoe is an alternative with more range and faster AC charging, though it uses more energy.
