Volkswagen e-Golf
35.8 kWh
The Volkswagen e-Golf 35.8 kWh used just 149 Wh/km at 90 km/h at around 0 °C, one of the most efficient results in the winter tests. That gave about 190 km of range; it proved very easy to coast with and was expected to be more efficient than the Nissan Leaf. The light, nimble handling won praise, but Volkswagen seemed to have built a good car rather than a good EV: the test car had analogue gauges and could not show the charge level in percent. The lane assist also bounced between the lane markings instead of staying centred.
