Volkswagen ID.3
1st 62 kWh
The Volkswagen ID.3 1st used just 135 Wh/km at 90 km/h at around 20 °C, one of the best results in the summer tests. That gave 413 km, making this basic trim, which lacks even a reversing camera, almost as efficient as a Tesla Model 3. At 120 km/h the range fell to 271 km, yet the car was strikingly quiet and showed almost no loss of usable energy. The main gripe was the software, which only shows the charge percentage in the driver display once it falls below 10%.
